Midyear Review - 2016
In a blink of an eye, we are already in the mid of June already. During this period, I have made $463 by selling options.
I received $105.30 in dividends, 180 shares in Keppel Reit from choosing unit re-distribution plan. I sold off 5,000 shares of Keppel Reit and made about $557.40 from capital appreciation. If I include the shares from unit re-distribution, I made about $746.40.
That will be about 15.3% in a short span of 3 months, not too bad. The below is my portfolio as of June 2016.
As you can see, my portfolio is more inclined towards income stock as I am a firm believer in having cash flow. We will only achieved financial freedom when our cash flow every month exceed our expenses.
If I never calculate wrongly, I should be expecting about $120 per month from my income stocks alone not inclusive of dividends from STI ETF and options. Still a long way to go towards my ultimate goal, slowly but surely I will get there.
For those who haven’t embarked on this journey towards financial freedom, I hope that you find inspiration from what I am doing and hopefully join me in this journey.
